Food Appliances
We all know those appliances with more attachments than we can count, the question is, how do we store them? Here, we separated the attachments into their appropriate categories and labelled each section so that everyone in the family knows where to pack things away. #maintainable systems!
Utensil drawer
Oooo we LOVE a good utensil drawer! The first stop was to install expandable utensil trays to maximise the entire space. Items were grouped according to use, and a set of easily distinguishable black-handled knives and forks were purchased specifically for this food prep draw. Cutlery used for eating was relocated to a more suitably zoned drawer. #streamlining your systems!
Kids Pantry/ Fruit and Veg
This low-down cupboard section has all the goods necessary for the kids to get their breakfast and make an after-school sandwich. The turntable keeps all the spreads in their zone and the cereal containers make it super easy to see when you’re needing to restock!
The lowest shelf still remained the most functional place for fruit and veg, so we put them in nice, deep baskets so that no fresh produce reaches the ‘rotten and forgotten’ stage of life.
Pantry (cooking zone)
Who doesn’t love an organised pantry?! Visibility is essential for practically, and as you can see we’ve maintained our goal for this here. All items can be easily accessed and viewed. The grains, pastas and seeds on the higher shelf have all been placed in long containers that can be lifted off to get whichever item you’re looking for.
Pantry ( baking / snack zone)
Baking items were contained and zoned, and a snack section was created that can be easily maintained.
Tea Drawer
Tea was a top priority for this client. They have tea time most days with a tea set and everything – how lovely! The types of tea vary from month to month, so we kept them in their boxes and placed them in drawer organisers that can easily be replaced. It is so much fun organising such colourful items! #Pretty
Playroom
Kids Playroom Closet (1)
Ah what fun this was! As you will see in this picture and the one below, we created zones: Games, Puzzles, Lego and Crafts. The ‘danger’ crafts were strategically placed on the higher shelves, while the safer elements such as paper are within easy reach for non-supervised creativity.
Kids Playroom Closet (2)
Puzzle boxes that were rather tired of holding all their pieces were replaced with clear zip folders, with the picture of the puzzle right in front so everybody still knows what to build!
All lego was placed in one zone with all boxes visible, as opposed to the way they were stacked in front of one another on the smaller shelves. This makes it easier to pack away stranded lego blocks and facilitates play rather than having to hunt behind boxes to find the colour blocks you are looking for.
